I called Longo Scion/Toyota today and inquired about the installation cost for TRD intake and exhaust pipe. They told me it's $280 total.
i am just positing this for ppl who like to know. hope it helps! |
DIY!! So simple
280$ to unscrew some screws? STEALERSHIPS
Feels good knowing how much I saved ;)
I will do it for a 150$ :)
I know people who would do it for a meal lol. They never accept my cash.
Assuming a person doesn't have the necessary tools to do the job, for $280 you could get a jack, stands, and a cheap ratchet set to do the job yourself. I did both the intake and exhaust on my car...it's a snap. This car is very easy to work on in that respect.

These are the two easiest things to install by yourself. Save your money. It's not hard.

Im in El Monte, which is local to you, and I'd be happy to help out a fellow 86 member for the cost of a meal. It's really easy to do honestly.
I vote asking around or use the money to get jack stands and a jack. Harbor Freight is your friend.

OP prob doesn't know much.

FYI: The hassle free full TRD warranty that matches the car power train warranty only applies when installed by a dealer.
If you install it yourself you only get 12/months 12,000 miles and only covers the part in question. So the choice of DIY vs. dealer install is not just one of tools/capability. http://www.toyotaracing.com/trd/info/warranty1.html |
