Prime Motoring/Jr Tuned P&L Motorsports Stage 1 Turbo Kit/FlexFuel FRS 424Whp-324tq
Here is another FRS we put together recently for a customer. It features a P&L Motorsports Stage 1 Turbo Kit and our in house Flex Fuel kit. Power ranges from 290whp on 93 octane and as higher ethanol content is detected, it tops out at 16-17 psi and over 424whp and 324 wtq.
Difference between this setup and the last that made 480whp on the Hot Lava car is the slightly smaller exhaust system (2.75" vs 3") and also the use of a High Flow Cat. The owner should be able to chime in here as well and speak of his experience with the car. So far from talking to him, he's having the time of his life :burnrubber: Mod List: P&L Stage 1 Turbo Kit ACT Heavy Duty Race Clutch Kit Prime Motoring Flex Fuel Kit Ultimate Racing 2.75" Exhaust System w/HFC ID 1000cc Injectors DW65c Fuel Pump Crawford AOS http://i1289.photobucket.com/albums/...psbaf6034d.jpg http://i1289.photobucket.com/albums/...psab104fef.jpg http://i1289.photobucket.com/albums/...ps8a716ea6.jpg http://i1289.photobucket.com/albums/...ps1a2d1129.jpg http://i1289.photobucket.com/albums/...ps9ca41411.jpg Feel free to ask any questions if you have any. |

Hello everyone, I'm the owner of the FRS posted above. Are you getting bored with 200 crank horsepower? Do you want to turn you FRS into a mental nut case on wheels? Give Prime Motoring a call!
The P&L Turbo kit has me speechless. Quality is absolute top notch! Turbo spools very quick and packs a mean punch. The ability to run ethanol has turned the car into something crazy, and the numbers I put down above were with my High Flow Cat and I was on winter blend of e55 fuel! With e80-85 fuel you could lay down 500whp+ no problem. Car pulls like hell at virtually any rpm point. On my way home from the shop I had attempted to do a 60mph pull in 3rd gear (we turned it down to 12-14psi too), and had clouds of tire smoke pouring out of the fenders. 4th gear and up you simply can't pull yourself out of the seat, although with better tires I'm sure the lower gears would be just as crazy. Despite the fact that my car is making well over double the wheel horsepower that it came from the factory with, it still is a very streetable car. It's smooth, responsive, and even when I was running on pump 93 with this turbo setup, I was averaging over 30mpg highway (Until the pedal dropped, then it went into the negatives, but who cares!). I hope this small review helped anyone who is considering going boosted, and if you have any questions feel free to hit me up and I'd be more than glad to answer them. Big Thanks to Prime Motoring and JR Tuned, they did a perfect job on my build and I couldn't be happier with it! |

By streetable I meant that it starts up like stock, drives smooth as stock, isn't even loud at lower rpm's, etc. Also the reason my spin issues are so bad is because I have 235-35-18's on the car right now. Definitely not the best tire choice for a car with this much power.

What size tires are on this thing? Edit: Owner updated while I was typing. 235/35's aren't even close to enough. |

Slicks are in my near future for track use, and I'll more than likely be grabbing a set of 265 or larger for street use. Lower gear traction issues don't bother me as 99% of my WOT usage is from a highway roll of 60mph or higher.

@PrimeMotoring - Great Job as always :D
Where did you place the flex fuel sensor that was originally bolted up on the driver side tower on the hot lava FRS? Just trying to get an idea of where i'll be installing mine when I get it :) I will be trying to "hide" it so this setup is going to be what I go with. |
