Very cool, i like that solution better than removing the tire and tools, plus it looks like it makes really good use of the space. Quick question though, I know my BRZ has a little button on the drivers side in the trunk that is like a trunk killswitch, is this found in the frs and is it a problem to relocate?

The boxes are screwed into the frame of the car; 2 screws for each box. At lvl 30 on the headunit, it sounds great! I can bring the lvl up to max with not too much distortion from the system :)

As for the trunk button on the inside of the trunk, left side; the FRS does come with that switch to cancel (or lock) the trunk. By pressing in the cancel button (or unplugging the button) when you try to unlock the trunk via unlock trunk on the key, it will not "pop" open; you would need to manually insert the key into the trunk if you take out the button or click the cancel switch.

As for relocation, you can, but keep in mind that you do not have a lot of slack to use and Subaru put it there for a reason. I suppose you could extend the wires and mount the switch wherever you wish. Hope this helps! If you have any more questions, feel free to ask!

definitely making me interested in doing something similar, I like the idea of screwing it straight to the frame, I did something similar in my truck and you don't need to have the bass drone to really feel it throughout the car! i'm probably not going to be doing a project like this until the mid summer but i'm definitely going to bookmark this thread for future reference! thanks again!
