Thanks button?

Okay, dumb question here. Really, really... REALLY dumb question.

Where is the "Thanks!" button on the page for giving a +1 to posts?

Haven't been able to figure that out on my own, and a search turned up nothing. Help?

I know you're just asking but...

Thanks Spacewilly, especially for putting up a picture of the icon.

Hmm... I'm guessing I have to be on the forum for X amount of time, or do X number of posts or something, because I don't have a button like that. Or maybe they just filter out IP's from Japan out of pure jealousy, as in "You already have your Toyota 86's and BRZ's, so we don't care what you think!" LOL....

Oh well... thanks again! :thanks:

It does take a while indeed before your account is enabled to use that button. I'm not sure if it's a minimum amount of days your account has to be active or a minimum amount of posts you have to make.

Huh, I haven't heard blocking newbs. We recently updated the site, there still might have some bugs. PM that to our boss & hopefully he can fix that for.

Oh & make sure to include which browser you use too

Oh~ so you gotta have at least 10 posts huh. I didn't know that.

TuxedoCartman 05-03-2012 09:00 PM

Okay... that's not so bad then.

I hate when they have things like that locked on other forums, though, and require a post count of 100 to unlock pretty basic features. One of the worst I've been on was a DIY forum, where they came down on you hard for reposting or post-whoring... and yet private messages were locked until 100 posts. I'm like, "It's DIY electronics! Without covering old ground, I might be able to get one post A MONTH on here!" LOL...

Again though, 10 isn't so bad. I'd thank you all for your help, but well... yeah, you know. :bonk:

Way to abuse the thanks button, dookie...

On a side note, today the most adorable thing happened :) A user PM'd me for a question today and said that he chose me cuz he thought I was "knowledgeable." Ft86club sure does warm the heart :) <3

TuxedoCartman 05-03-2012 11:18 PM

LOL... okay, NOW you're just rubbing it in, dookie! Show-off! LOL... :paddle:

Really though, I gotta say... this forum IS possibly the best car forum I've seen in a while. Some years ago, when I was a die-hard car and tuning freak, I was on several different boards every day. The only one that didn't make me want to destroy all humans was one of the MX-5 forums I found (and this was before the NC or even the Mazdaspeed had come out).

So far, I'm fairly impressed with how mature and civil this forum is. I just hope it stays that way after the market starts getting flooded with aftermarket parts, and given the sibling rivalry between the two cars. :happy0180:

Cuz this site has coolest mods! Lol put the joke on the side, our boss Hachiroku is awesome! Currently other member's might have more infos... but few yrs back, our boss had the most infos! He went Geneva, Tokyo, NY pretty much where ever FT86 concept was getting shown, he was there!

Also most of immature members usually get flamed left & right by cool old members & they leave quickly lol
