http://i271.photobucket.com/albums/j...ps2164a3ac.jpg For anyone with the CarFiend app im SportTruck on there. Traded my truck in on 1/18/14 for a 2014 FRS. I have modded a few trucks previously and they all resulted in somebody offering me more money than its worth and then me moving onto the next project. I decided this time around to try out a car. So far I love this thing. Extremely fun for somebody use to driving trucks on 32"+ tires. Options I got straight from the lot: 8 speaker with nav spoiler drl's Borla exhaust 20% tint ANY suggestions and tips anyone has let me know, im new to the sport car world and learning. As of today 1/21/14 I have 340 miles on the car. |
Ok, while at work the last couple of days I looked around at available parts and got an idea of what I want to change or add to the car. If anyone has any suggestions or changes I should make id be glad to hear them out.
SuperTek Intake Pipe (Installed) aFe Pro Dry Drop in Filter (Installed) 245/35/18 Michelin Pilot Sport AS3's (Installed) 18x8.75 +35 XXR 527 in Flat Black (Installed) LED Dome/Trunk/Plate/Reverse Swap (Installed) Diode Dynamics HID kit with 5000k HIDextra bulbs (Installed) Winjet Black Headlights (Installed) Borla Header New pipes between header and Borla AxleBack (suggestions?) Eibach Pro Kit/Possible Coilover Swap (suggestions?) FT86SpeedFactory Tri-Brace Tanabe Rear Brace GrimmSpeed MCB Those are things I can start doing one at a time over the next several months, once I finish the above list I plan on saving for an AVO Stage 2 Turbo kit along with anything I would need to go with it. That could change several times before its time to go forced induction. It looks like there is a lot of good kits available. |
Nice looking FRS! I like your Build Ideas too!
One question though, what DRL are those? Is that a factory option? |

Tanabe has a rear brace? Unless you meant the stabilizer bar...
|
They make a rear tower bar.

Overdue Update:
Installed aFe Drop in and Supertek inlet pipe also removed lame growl tube. Noise isn't much louder than stock, throttle response is noticeably better. http://i271.photobucket.com/albums/j...psbqgdx4cr.jpg Hard wired Radar Detector in driver side lower corner of the windshield, wires tucked behind dash and aren't showing. http://i271.photobucket.com/albums/j...ps5ciblozl.jpg Neighborhood cat left two scratches all the way through my clear coat above driver side rear while arch, will be fixed soon. Cat problem fixed with ultrasonic cat deterrent that plays a high frequency sound that scares them away when it detects motion, it sits behind my car in my driveway 24/7, haven't seen a cat in 2 weeks. Installed LED Dome/Trunk/Plate/Reverse Lights http://i271.photobucket.com/albums/j...pskl7msbdq.jpg http://i271.photobucket.com/albums/j...psqt6klilv.jpg http://i271.photobucket.com/albums/j...pspvcrz30g.jpg Installed Diode Dynamics 6000K HID Kit, looks good. I wish it matched the Factory white DRL's, its a little bluer than I had expected. http://i271.photobucket.com/albums/j...psgwzj3tfu.jpg Fuel Pump chirp started at 900 miles, had the dealer replace it with a newer pump that has only been run with Shell V-Power 93 and is good so far with 500 miles on it. Lady backed into my parked car -__- cracked passenger side headlight and cracked paint on the front bumper cover, insurance gave me $411 for bumper repair and $406 for the cracked headlight. http://i271.photobucket.com/albums/j...psbmjxadwb.jpg I ordered black Winjets and 5000K H7 HID bulbs http://i271.photobucket.com/albums/j...psawmf142q.jpg Dropped my car off with the local Toyota Body Shop this morning to have the bumper fixed and give me a separate quote for cat scratches. |
Also making a few edits to the build list in the top post. I saw a set of flat black XXR 527's on 245/35/18's and im pretty definite on getting those.
