If anyone else buys their crap after they read any of the things that have been posted lately, they have absolutely no right to come on here and b*tch afterwards if they get screwed.

So as I stated I would stay transparent figured it was time for an update. Toni has been reaching out to a few people for tune updates. Logs seem to show what I expected on some cars in which resolution shouldn't be too complicated. He did however send one local a rom with the wrong dongle ID (it ended up being mine instead???). I am sure he will however get a new ROM back to that owner shortly. One user mentioned his audible knock disappeared after flashing a new rom, though his logs are showing quite lean. But it looks to be an extremely easy 5 minute fix that I am confident Toni will resolve for him. I am glad to see him step up and attempt to make an effort to resolve these mistakes. I have heard from others that he has been asking for more detailed log requests that describe the conditions in which I expressed concern of my own vehicle..

Toni has also contacted me in attempt to "resolve" issues with me. He has been polite in these regards and I don't know where it will go. I never posted this in any attempt to gain anything from Toni and he fully knows this. I'll post more info if things change.

Just to be clear this post has nothing to do with Toni contacting me. As I have tried to make clear in my original post I am not trying to bash a vendor, or skew perspective in any way shape or form. I am just trying to keep a public view of my experiences with this vendor.

SirBrass 01-26-2014 02:32 PM

Well, if this somehow leads to him making genuine & lasting amends, then I think that can only end up being a net gain for everyone, both for Toni & his customers.

But it will have to be a permanent change, not just a temporary effort, and we can only tell if it's genuine or temporary with time.

what baffles me is, does he not know any of these accusations will come back to haunt him? even, in the slightest chance they aren't true, his name is mudd. Honestly he should get his *** out of the car tuning world, quick. Before someone with the wrong state of mind gets a tune from him that blows up his car, and comes after Toni.

Since Toni had contacted me on Saturday I haven't heard back. Not quite sure what he had in mind at this point. I did "peek" at the rom he sent to someone by mistake and it looks like he did make a number of changes in the right direction though. There are still some things I personally would change but its better.

Yup, after reading all about it, I am steering far, far, far away from them. I'd much rather my money go to the dudes at FT86 SpeedFactory :party0030: - just sayin'

I actually looked at this thread again from a computer and not my phone and noticed the pic @nelsmar took in the original post of the oil on the hood.
Amazingly composed and says a lot.

subaru , oil dripping over the logo which look like tears, good lighting, good depth of field. Nice!

LOL thanks! I was drunk as hell and trying to get my creativity on while waiting for the tow truck. I had just spent an hour scrubbing engine bay to remove oil...

OICU812 01-28-2014 02:19 PM

@nelsmar I read entire shenanigans here I say we ask some tv producer for a Nelsmar Dynasty show. Shit all of that would make some serious reality tv lol. :D

One mistake of this magnitude is more than enough to sway into me never dealing with this vendor or his alter egos.

Change is nice but I am betting a five digit investment on his ineptitude.

I've been dealing with Toni for the last 5 months! I already purchased my Vortech supercharger from another individual. After a detailed talk with Toni, he recommended that I change my fuel pump and injectors. It took some growing pains to get these right and Toni was gracious enough to make a video for us!! The first couple files before E85 ran ok but once the fuel pump and injectors were installed it was a little harder to tune. I thought I had issues with the belt slipping and the pulley made out of plastic! So Toni comes to Houston to visit for a dyno day and he dials in my tune perfectly without any issues what so ever!!! He even suggested that I try the smaller pulley 3.12. Best run I had on the bigger pulley was 320whp. So One week later, I received the new pulley and installed it and took the car to get it dyno tuned at Phasetek. In less then 3 runs, Toni had the car dialed in perfectly with no issues what so ever! I'm am very happy with the level of support I've been getting with him and he way over delivered on his promises! Last dyno run was at 346 whp and 246 wtq! Toni was very flexible with his appointments with us as we did the remote tuning and also send him files from the dyno for comparison!!! It is a long tedious process to go thru but the results way exceeded my expectations!!! I hope that he will able to provide quality support to all affected and turn things around....

Looks about the same as what I saw before, so unless i missed the original post before the edit i don't know if much was changed in the post.

sorry, maybe I shouldn't even have chimed in as I really don't know much other than what you and others have posted.

I read that someone thought he was making false accounts and talking himself up.
I didn't recognize this user, who only posted 10 times in a year, and thought this could be the case.

side note, I really commend your positive attitude through this...

There is nothing wrong with a good non FA20Club Flex Fuel kit and a good non FA20Club EcuTek tune.

I can't wait to hear @nelsmar 's response to this, haha.

Andrew@ORT 06-20-2014 11:17 AM

Good lord man, I just read all 9 pages and it makes me sick to my stomach.

I really cannot believe the way that some people run their businesses. Granted, I've made mistakes, but I've always made good or attempted to make good on them. This is mind blowing shit.

The best tuner is someone who puts it on a dyno and fine tunes the forced induction application. Unless you're going to Perrin's shop, slapping it on a dyno, and tuning it, I wouldn't call it the best. N/A you might sacrifice a few ponies, FI there could be a significant gap in HP and also running a safe tune.

Fastbrew 07-03-2014 10:52 PM

I am just thankful I found some awesome tuners near where I live in Portland, OR. My car will be at the shop/dyno for a week getting installed and tweaked. I couldn't be happier with this arrangement. More expensive? Hell yeah. Less risk? Indeed. Better chance of success and no drama? Check.

I am very sorry to hear about your experience. Boggles my mind how someone could brashly wreck/maim/destroy someone's beloved and hard earned vehicle. What a scam.

There should be some prison time for all this crap. And - the seizure of assets etc to help repay victims.

D K 07-27-2014 11:59 PM

It really makes me appreciate having my car tuned locally by Church Automotive.

Now that Im moving to Florida, I would consider flying him out to tume my car again unless I found someone trustworthy locally.

I couldnt imagine going through all that crazyness getting my car tuned.

Scammers like Toni should really be dealt with swiftly.

We got James in Orlando, if you need to retune down here, trust me, you will be in good hands.

Didnt have time to read everything. A lot of words..lol.

Can anyone tell me whather EFI logics is a reliable shop for vortech sc tuning?

Its not their fault right? I think FA20Club should take the responsibility right?

@nelsmar Can you give me some advice? I have an appointment with EFI at the end of this month for Vortech SC. ECUtek tune.
