Best tires for these rims?

Hey guy's just wondering what would be the best tire size for these rims.
17x9 +42 rota grids. I plan on lowering it on Eibach Sportline springs around 1.4in drop i think.

I run the stock 215 stretched on 17x9 Rotas... but you can go up to 245 without rubbing I think.

i think a nice 225 would be great

Any pics please? thinking of running stockies on 8.5"

Please run a properly sized tire if you're going to buy 9" wide wheels. You should be running a 245/40 on something that wide. Stretching tires is not safe.

@Juvenile, check the link in my sig... tons of photos in my build thread.

@Ouhei is right... there is a certain safety risk when you stretch tires dramatically, although this is mostly hype as I have been doing it for years, as have many of my friends, without a single issue. As far as a 215 on a 9" wheel goes, I think you would find worse horror stories about tires being punctured, failing from defects, etc.

If you have a few minutes, read through the horror stories at the stance forum... they are all about stretching tires so they would know...

I have run stretched tires in the past as well with no issues personally. Largest stretch I had was 225 on a 10". I wouldn't be too worried about 215 on a 9.

Only person I know who has run into issues was a buddy who bought a used 240 that had 205 on a 10. Lost the bead pretty much daily, didnt take him long to buy new wheels and tires.

I just got some rota titans in 17x9. My plan as of now is to run 245 on the front and 255 on the rear.
