Best LED upgrade opinions

Hey all, looking to upgrade the lighting in my WRB BRZ, particularly the inside Dome light, Trunk light, door lights, and license plate lights to white LEDs. Now I know there are a lot of vendors on here selling LEDs and I want to see what everyone thinks about the quality and pricing. I know HID Powerhouse sells some packages (as well as individual lights) but prices seem on the high side, are they worth that much more? I saw JWM has LEDs that look just as bright but for a fraction of the cost, same with Diode Dynamics. So I'd just like to hear from anyone who's bought from these vendors (or maybe someone who's bought from multiple vendors and can compare) and their experiences with the LEDs they bought, brightness, quality, fitment. Thanks in advance!

P.S. I want the inside dome to be quite a bit brighter than the weak light in there now, but not over powering-super-blinding-bright. I'd like the trunk light very bright, the license plate lights don't have to be any brighter (in fact I don't want it any brighter, just whiter :P), and the door lights to be brighter, enough to see the ground well at night.

I went with the highest brightness package from HID Powerhouse. I ripped out the dome light for my own custom dual color light. These vendors advertise super bright dome lights. It's just stupid. You can't use them. On top of that, they are all 6000k-8000k colors that just provide poor visibility.

I also got rid of the trunk light for my own much better option. You can't see anything if there is something in the corner. An LED strip would be easy to install.

Wait, so you bought the package from HID powerhouse, but didn't use the dome or trunk lights? Why do you say you can't use the super bright dome lights? Which ones can you use the 9-led ones, the 12?

Everyone is going around advertising extremely bright dome lights. Yes they look good from the outside of the car, but as far as function goes, they are just ridiculous. If you turn them on while driving at night, first your eyes would have to take a few seconds to adjust. Some people complain about not being able to see the road

Just go with the dimmer options if you want functionality. A 12 led should be nice. My custom light uses 16, but they are more of a 4000k and not as powered.

Yeah, I was thinking of going with a 9, I really just want to know if the 9 at HID Powerhouse is any better or worse than the one at JWM or Diode Dynamics, since the prices vary greatly.

Can't help you there. I've only dealt with HID, Viscous, and Diode.

Any difference in quality among those 3? Would I be good choosing any of them purely based on price (if the amount of LEDs is the same)?

I have Diode Dynamics dome, tag lights, reverse, 8k hid headlights, and fog light kit w/ 3k hids....I like them all. Good quality; great fitting parts.

I've had issues with the dome light, and that once I put the LED light in there, it will stay on and never shut off, even in any of the 3 settings on the dome light.

I contacted them, and it was some kind of a relay issue or some light grounding etc.. I think I just need to find something else.

That looks like it will be brighter than my camera flash.

I 10000000000000000% agree with you! mine is a 9 or 12 chip board and it's over kill, looking at it opening the door and all is cool.. But if it's need driving at night, geez.. It almost hurts it's so blinding, then after it's off, it takes longer to adjust then getting hit in the eyes with another cars brights.. I've bought from almost all the vendors on here, but I personally carry diode, vled, and vicious..
