as per attachments - friends seem to think my ABS brake fluid is leaking - brakes feel fine and the master cylinder is full - feels kind of like engine oil on my finger but I'm not too mechanical -

Is this a standard amount of build up for an engine bay - been about 10,000km's since last service....

Thoughts? - will be getting it checked, just don't want it to lose brakes on me.

Maybe the last person that did your oil change tipped the funnel over and made a mess all over. seems plasable since its around the filler cap

What does the inside of the hood look like right above the fan & belts?

It looks like oil being flung by the belt.
Feel the back of the crank pulley and see if it is dirty back there.

I think it could just be the engine dress up (silicone?) spray that dealers love to use on new cars. Maybe you had an over-zealous pre delivery guy and he went nuts on the spray....

Did you try wiping it and seeing if it returns?

Clean it up and see if it returns? Easiest way to see if it's a continual problem or one that was caused by an earlier (shitty dealer) event.
