So sexy even plywood wants to hit it!

Purchased my pre-owned FR-S on January 9th.
Attachment 63972

On January 16th, while driving 70mph on a highway in Florida, a 4x8 sheet of plywood flew out of the back of a pickup truck and onto the road. Before he could get to it, a Prius drove over it, launching it into the air at my car, where it smacked perfectly flat across the front bumper, windshield, an dover the roof of the car.

$2,630.00 in damages:

That sucks man good luck with the insurance companies. Just remember to not accept the first offer.

I see some nice aftermarket headlights and antenna in your future and while you're at it, you'll probably end up with a better paint job than the rest of us...

Glad no one was hurt.

How much for the new underwear and pants + cleaning the shyte off the driver's seat?

this just re-insures my belief of never following behind large vehicles with cargo on board, you never know if something isn't tied down right and that loose piece of debris could total your car or worse, end your life

sorry to hear about the accident, hopefully those dents will go away and be completely unnoticeable

RojerLockless 01-17-2014 10:27 PM

Damn, that blows.

Agree, most of the time the driver of the truck won't even notice that their stuff is flying off of the back of their truck.

I'm just going to let you know, that's a lot more than $2600 worth of damages.

buzznasa 01-18-2014 12:17 AM

Hope it all gets fixed without too much hassle. Damn, I do NOT miss Florida...

Sailors14FR-S 01-18-2014 12:18 AM

Hate to see it buddy. As someone stated above; there is a refreshing look that will be returned to your FRS soon.

I was driving down the interstate doing around 80 mph when a hay bale fell off a truck. Car in the middle lane that was ahead of me hit it and pushed it right in my lane. I had no other place to go before I would hit it. A car was right next to me in the middle lane and the side of the road was full of rocks and road debris. I chose to plow the hay bale. I did not have much damage at all (got lucky). The moral of my story is that a truck that has an unintended launch of equipment should be reported to the authorities. That is pure negligence.

Wish your car a quick recovery.
