Looks great, but I think seeing all that blue might make me slow down lol.

nphillip 01-16-2014 01:19 AM

Would like the blue to be brighter. Maybe your photos just don't do it justice.

onefitz 01-16-2014 01:27 AM

As some one that's done that kind of LED/SMD work before, that's impressive. Just don't understand the appeal of blue.

So this is where you take the dash apart, pull the tiny lights etc off the board, solder on new one's, etc? You are not in the SE US by any chance are you? A few guys on the Tundra board's have done this, going to blue and I would love to get rid of the 90's orange of my Brz. Nice work.

That's entirely true. I'm not a very good photographer.

Thank you! To each their own I guess. This customer wanted blue. I also converted his Evo X to blue as well. I can do almost any color.

I'm located in Dallas.

Awesome job!!!! I think blue would put me to sleep lol

That is extremely impressive. I imagine that took you a couple minutes! lol

Congratulations on the outcome!

That's the magic words right there.

Patience, steady hands, and good eyes. Took me about 2.5 - 3 hours to do a gauge cluster.

Damn that figures. Had to ask. Again, very nice work.

Looks like good work. I just like stock better, imo.

Thank you Nick. It took approximately 34 hours over 3 days. The next one should be around 15-18 I think.

Shagaliscious 01-20-2014 05:53 PM

Looks like his GT-R is blue, which is probably why the owner wanted blue LEDs. I would be the same way.

I do not have the patience to do something that tedious, kudos to you. 34 hours over 3 days, damn. No wonder the owner didn't want to do it, lol.
