The Burz
I bought my GBS BRZ back in September 2013 and have been enjoying it a lot. This is my first sports car and also the first car I've done any work on. As mentioned, I'm enjoying both driving and customizing it to my tastes. My friend and I have more or less named the car "The Burz".

Mostly take pictures of the scenery... I don't get nearly enough pictures though. http://www.pwolfamv.com/other/IMG_3767.jpg |
I made a video:

very nice keep up the good work. Just curious what rear diffuser did you get and how was it to install?

IIRC, it attaches pretty much directly to the bumper via the existing plastic clips. It comes with some metal square screw/bolt clips (don't know the right term for them)... You put the metal clip on the inner liner and bolt on the bumper. I ended up drilling into the rear bumper liner on the sides to secure the diffuser on the extremities. Some people either leave it alone or use some 3m double-sided tape but I decided to bolt it on so it was flush. I can take some pictures of the fitment if you're interested. |
Working on doing a full LED conversion of all the panels and switches and stuff... going blue!

are those the legit jam side markers???

Edit: Err, sorry, read that as "jdm"... I believe they are indeed Helix. |
Installed some OEM mudflaps today. Was a bit iffy about it for the last few months but after seeing them on some cars at the last few meets, they grew on me.
https://scontent-a-pao.xx.fbcdn.net/...22718773_n.jpg https://scontent-a-pao.xx.fbcdn.net/...24816967_n.jpg I also made a GoPro tow-hook mount per @PMok's instructions (plus some extra screws since I don't trust adhesives). http://www.pwolfamv.com/other/gopromount.jpg |
A little bit of work since the last update...
I've swapped out the red LEDs in most of the controls and HVAC to fit my liking: https://scontent-b-lax.xx.fbcdn.net/...55883085_n.jpg https://fbcdn-sphotos-g-a.akamaihd.n...48310928_n.jpg https://scontent-b-lax.xx.fbcdn.net/...62118968_n.jpg (Will be taking better pictures in the future) Still need to to do the head unit and gauge cluster. I added a 30% tint to the rear windows (yay california laws :|): https://scontent-a-lax.xx.fbcdn.net/...67084059_n.jpg I also installed the Valenti Reverse/Fog light bar: https://fbcdn-sphotos-e-a.akamaihd.n...42824547_n.jpg http://www.pwolfamv.com/other/20140511_204309.jpg |
I've finished the LED conversion today:
https://scontent-a-sea.xx.fbcdn.net/...22756569_n.jpg I only did the gauges and none of the other indicator lights. Really happy with the results. The time put into the whole conversion has been well worth it! |

For some reason half the pictures in this thread were deleted...
Anyway, this is current iteration of The Burz taken this morning. Over the past few months I installed a sharkfin and roof spoiler. I also picked up the Grimspeed CAI not too long ago. I think it's fantastic. http://www.pwolfamv.com/other/IMG_2242.jpg |
Solid list of mods. Cant wait to see with a drop and wheels!
Also, digging the roof spoiler. How much was it and how was the install? |

I installed it myself. Real easy, perfect fit. Came with double-sided 3M tape. |
Cool! I'm definitely looking to get one, although I won't be doing a paint match for mine. Just going to get it dipped black and call it a day.

Had springs installed yesterday. I went with Eibach Pro Kit springs. The drop looks nice and the ride isn't too bad.

Finally got around to getting some wheels and rubber. Went with Niche NR6's @ 18x8 +40 offset. Tires are Michellin PSS 225/40/18. I think I made a good choice.

Unfortunately nothing new. Thinking about side skirts/lip kit perhaps? New picture, taken today:

Picked up an OFT and I have to say, it's fantastic. The FT86 Speed Factory header did an amazing job of getting rid of the torque dip so I didn't think the OFT would produce a significant difference to warrant the cost. I jumped on it anyway and I'm very happy with the results.
The best way I can describe it is that it feels like the jump from the OEM header to FT86SF header. That jump made me feel like I was driving a different car. Adding the OFT on top of that made me feel like I was, again, driving a different car. In a good way of course. Next step is to put her on the dyno and see what the power curve looks like. I'm not really interested in peak HP/Torque as I'm not getting crazy gains with what I have. I just want to validate what the butt dyno has been feeling. |
Put her on the dyno this past weekend (86 day!).
http://www.pwolfamv.com/other/IMG_5948.jpg Looking at ~15hp gain over stock AT BRZ. Dyno sheet and numbers posted on first page. |
Installed replacement leather upholstery from LeatherSeats.com last week (front and rear seats). Really happy with them.

I saw your car on Del Paso today. Looking amazing
Was in the ISF behind you. |
