Couple of days to kill in Ft Lauderdale/Hollywood area, cool things to do/see?
 

Looking for info from the south Florida guys/girls.

Every year I hit the Red Sox spring training in Ft Myers, usually just chill there for a few days. Last few years I spent two or three days of my trip in Tampa hanging with a friend who lives there. This year I think I want to fly into Ft Lauderdale, spend a day there then drive over to spring training and then drive back across and spend a night there before I fly back home.

Anything in that area that would be cool to kill a day or two besides the beach? Any car related stuff, cool bars, etc? Not sure on where I am staying yet but I am looking at somewhere on the beach north of the FLL airport like the w, hilton or westin beach resort in Ft Lauderdale or the westin diplomat in Hollywood.

Anything cool to see or do? Thx

Also one of the Goodyear blimps is based in Pompano. I always wanted to check out the base when we lived in FL, but never did. Saw it flying around though.

You could probably still swing by FA20Club/TR3 and see @Frs300 's car.

You basically walk this trail that is full of alligators. Really intimidating at first because they are RIGHT there. It's a nice little drive and you can stop at various other places in the Everglades.
Make sure to hit up the great Spanish food
