Say the something for the Supra...anticipated 50k...with 25%....we are looking at 65k.

But as reality hit, Toyota have to ve the market share from those kids 15 years ago....like me. I was dreaming of Corvette, Viper, or Supra.

Too bad, the only thing that keeps the same price is the Corvette, Supra lost the battle, disappeared. Now they want to stir the market up again ? Either be

1/ all unaffordable, unrealistic price such as Viper, GTR....the 120k club

2/ affordable....50k club, but standing toes to toes with Corvette.

So this battle will be very interesting, but so far, New Mustang V8 450hp....for 35k ? HELL YES....Toyota ....it is your move.

If you release new Supra 400hp, 3000lbs, 50k.....you will earn back the market. Otherwise, you will be down the same road.

Luckily the MK4 Supra's can still be found here and there. I'll probably pick one up within the next 3 years and keep it forever.

I've always loved the last generation of the Supra

Sorry to say this to you, but keep dreaming.

400hp / 3000lbs coupe won't be priced at $50k, if you know anything about the industry.

Toyota will likely make this a M3/M4/GTR/C63 fighter. There will be plenty of people who will buy this even around $70-80k with the right spec, especially coupled with this sexy design.

If I was an exec for Toyota, I would put a Toyota badge instead of Lexus and make it as a halo car for the entire line up. Lexus will have RC-F as a powerful luxury coupe anyway.

Is this not the second version of this concept? Looks a hell of a lot like the FT-HS. This would make me happy considering they kept the 86 pretty damn close to the ft86 II concept.

If they are smart they will do it simply. The car very much has the same overall shape as the 86. Basically a moulded in wide body kit and a trunk with a TRD spoiler (moulded in as well) would give the cars a VERY similar look. I'd rock the trunk.

I really want a rear bumper design that has holes moulded in for the exhaust. And that F1 led bumper design was something I was planning on doing if I ever got the Abflug rear bumper for my car.

I would put the F1 style LED's in the middle of the Abflug rear bumper.

I think this car *should* be priced around 80k or less (somewhere in between GT-R and C7 as @switchlanez said) this way it will give people more incentive to purchase it. I don't think it will be cheap by any means but might be more expensive. And if it looks anything like the concept I'm sure it would sell at 80k (even though I detest that huge nose it has everyone else seems to like it...).

In the end I really just hope they make a *killer* car. I want to see this thing eat the GT-R and compete with the C7 Z06/ZR1. That would give me some real options when looking for an upgrade from the FRS ;) lol

None of those can stand Toes to Toes with C7 Performances and price

So, you don't get what I'm saying?

Did you take any type of business class at school?

This doesn't have anything related to business classes. Though you can be better than me. It still doesn't change the fact.

Corvette kicked Supra out of business.

All consumers are the same: Quality, cheap, reliable.

That makes C7 automatically a winner. The only different = C7 is 2 seaters. You would be surprised at how many people rather buy C7.

Unless you are Toyota Executives, then I will shut my mouth. Otherwise, we will never be on the same page

You might be spot on on the price. The new 86 is priced about the same as the original AE86 after inflation. The MkIV Supra launched for $50k in 1993 which comes out to $80k in 2013 terms. Toyota may choose to be consistent with these true successor cars.

Hope they price it between $80-100K. Keep it exclusive.

So $41k comes out to $66.1k in today's terms. I was quoting my dad from the sticker he remembers seeing in a San Diego showroom floor in the 1993 launch but his memory might not be perfect. He also recalls they dropped it lower mid-generation when it wasn't selling but I only mentioned launch price thinking it would be more relevant.

Cars in general (accounting for inflation) have gotten cheaper, so if we're comparing it to the Supra, 55-60k would be more realistic. I really don't think they need to focus on the C7 if they were to design this as I don't think they would be frequently cross shopped--probably more of a BMW / Audi or GTR demographic than a Corvette one.
