Monogram Series FR-S Orders
 

Hello fellow 86-ers!

I have just placed an order for a 2014 Monogram FR-S in Ontario, Canada. I noticed through searching that there is no thread for owners to start posting info, so I decided to start one. With orders being made and first deliveries likely in February, we should be able to start a little Monogram order thread which will be updated with pics and info.

I hope they are still available once I have the funds for it, waiting for taxes to pay off wifes car then will need about 2 months to save up and sell mine for the down payment.

Hey Jegan, I was looking at ultramarine as well, since my Prelude is a similar midnight blue....but yeah, only Firestorm, Whiteout and Raven for Canadians.

Firestorm looks great though, so it'll be a nice change. Congrats on your order! Did your dealer tell you an ETA or price? I got nothing so far...

ETA is supposed to be late February to early March. Price though is still TBD.

I was expecting early to mid Feb, but that's alright...less winter driving.

As for price, my guess is it'll be in line with the 10 series.

Placed my deposit today.

Price is already announced as well, it's cheaper than the BRZ, has no fog lights though.

MSRP for the six-speed manual and six-speed sequential automatic transmissions are $27,400 and $28,500 respectively, representing a value package of over $1,900. There is an additional $395 fee for the premium exterior color Whiteout.

Whiteout,Manual. I hope they install the spoilers at the dealership. Maybe I can trade them a Spoiler for mud guards. Cost is $27,400 manual last time I checked btw, $28,500 for auto.
It comes with the 1k navigation option so its quite the value I'd say. Heated leather seats and all.

US prices have been announced but Canadian prices haven't. We expect it to be about $1000 extra over the US price as our base car is $26K instead of $25K.

It's weird, I was so hyped about the Monogram only to find out it's only available in Black, White or Red. Way to screw me over Scion Canada!

My hope was a hot lava FRS with near BRZ features. My backup colour was Gray and even that's not on the list. Sticking with the original plan for a Gray BRZ then...

Raven 6M/T, PIO fog lights, March production, April arrival. Will be swapping the TRD CAI, Perrin unresonated catback, BRZ trunk lid liner and Carbotech brakes to the new car. Wheels and tires to follow, still deciding, leaning toward O.Z. Alleggerita HLT Anthracites and ZII's.

Back in the 60's, I spent 10 days in northern New Jersey, waiting for striking dock workers to get my car off of a boat from Germany.

After a week, my patience wore thin, so I went down to the dock to straighten them out! After all, I was a Captain in the US Army .... :mad0260:

They TOLD me to get the heck off of THEIR dock ..... or my car just may slip off the crane hoist, when and if, they decide to unload it!

2014 Whiteout 6MT, PIO TRD INTAKE, possibly exhaust, but I really want the JDM version... dual tips are sexy...

Deposit made... 1/12/2014 (6-7 enroute to east coast, still waiting on dealer allocation...)

Congrats to all you monogram orders! I hope the monograms do not suffer the same fate as the 10-Series and have an unexpected delay (the monroney label debacle of 2013) that kept them stuff at Ports/Japan for over a month. Best of luck getting them promptly!

Order some the JDM tips, I did. Really completes the look and fills in the diffuser.

I got them for $100 at Japanparts.com, but I know there are some members probably selling them for cheaper. Or Nigel has a groupbuy on them for $115.

Already got mine reserved. Whiteout Manual. Wooo!

Is it official there will be NO Tornado Grey Monogram Editions???
This is pretty much the color I'm set on and I don't really want to purchase a BRZ.

you guys should be fine finding monogram series i mean theres 3 10 series sitting at lipton toyota i believe and more around the nation i wouldnt worry too much

Monogram Series supposedly only a 2000 run...

I wonder if there will be any special numbering or plates?

Yes, it's a little shorter than my usual 12 month holding period due to economic considerations. Fortunately, I'm able to buy at fleet pricing so should come out about break-even, fingers crossed.

Doesn't seem worth it unless they have some cool his headlights adjustable like the brz. But that's just my opinion, everyone likes something different.

They do, 10 Series HID/LED DRL's are standard.

Haven't heard anything about that. Would be fun to have some sort of identifier. How about glowing "M" badges front and rear? :bellyroll:

Haha, no glowing badges this time hopefully :p But yes, I hope there is some identifier so you can say you have #XXX out of 2000.

The 10 series had this, correct? I hope mine comes with some indications that it is a special edition other than the fact it is a GT86 with Scion badges.

Why are you referencing overseas color names? In any case, it looks like US will get Asphalt, but not Canada. Just get a BRZ Limited in DGM if it's really that important.

Right. Besides the exterior glowing badges, there's a small numbered plaque below the window switches that (you guessed it) glows in the dark.

LOL, what doesn't glow in that car? :bonk: That's cool though, makes it feel special (apart from all the glowing!).

I'm just anxious to get it now, looks like it'll be a 2 month wait for Canadians. My dealer told me pricing and ETA will be released on or around January 27:iono:

For Canada, yes we're stuck with a limited colour palette. The US on the other hand isn't. If you want a Canadian Monogram, its a choice of white, black or red.

I thought I was bad for trading my FRS for a BRZ Limited. You win. :clap:
