So I live in Atlanta GA, and I still cant get any solid pricing or deposit amount.

Can you guys give me a general ballpark idea on what I would expect to be depositing and if dealers are ramping up the MSRP price?

There's a 10 series that's new and the dealer is trying to get rid of it for ~26800, but I'm interested in the monogram. I suppose depending on the price, I may get the 10 series (I would get the monogram in argento).

Thanks.

Deposit is usually the $500-1000 if they ask for it. Dealers shouldn't be ramping up MSRP due to Scion's pure pricing. So with the price they are asking for the 10 Series, and the monogram depending on your AT/MT choice your looking at a difference of ~$1200. So the choice is yours whether you think $1200 justifies leather/heated seats, heated side mirrors, navigation, spoiler, red stitched leather kneepads, and a rear seat armrest. Some will say yes, and that is completely justifiable as all that is clearly worth it, but some may say your getting a phenomenal deal on the 10 Series compared to the base model. Only you can decide your priorities. Goodluck!

Sidenotes: Monogram is MY2014 > 10 Series MY2013. Argento < Silver Ignition. Also have to figure out if dealer is able to secure you an Argento in the transmission of your choice. (80% Automatic, 20% MT & 20% of 2000 are Argento)

Just called, still nothing for SE. They looked into other regions to check other allocations and they did notice the west coast already has allocations

This 10 series actually has a spoiler and tinted windows already which I wanted... I'm debating if the heated seats and suede is worth the 1200..
Also I've seen good heated mirror kits for about $100.
the dealer also mentioned that even though the msrp of the monogram is listed at 28300 it would be more expensive... How do I bring up the pure price stuff?
I'll see if I can talk down the 10 series price some more, I do like the silver ignition color..

Mine was 28,205 on a MT. When they looked it up, it was going to be over 29000 because they were going to install some accessories once it got to the port. I told them I didn't want those so they just scratched them off and brought the price down. They asked for a 500 dollar deposit.

Thank god, this is the only reason I decided to log in for! Just wanted to know the deposit I should expect to pay for an order of a Mono.

So how does the deposit work? Is it added onto your downpayment or non refundable fee to reserve the vehicle?

This is sounding like a shady dealer already. Price should be MSRP and no more(Pure Pricing), unless they add other accessories at the port (which you could tell them not to add if you are buying the car). If they are partaking in some shady practices, you could always call Toyota corporate and mention it but that won't solve your problem right away. You should definitely shop around other dealers and see if they are getting one. Strengthen you buying power bud.

Dude if any dealer tells you it's a non-refundable fee...RUN AWAY as fast as you can. If the dealer is asking for a deposit, it should be a refundable amount to hold the vehicle in your name which could then be applied to your down payment if you want.

So far my dealer has not required me to put down a deposit.

It will go towards your car purchase. And Should be 100% refundable. That's something I would ask the dealership personally.

Ill be asking my dealership 2/2 if they have more info.
Will keep you guys posted :)

Lol. Thanks guys, the deposit information was exactly what I was looking for. Hopefully the dealers will keep the car at MSRP price.

Next will be a Release Series(basically a TRD Edition)...

Is this the mythical yellow car? I'm intrigued by the preliminary info (TRD showcase) but consider it high risk until I see it live. Yellows can be love hate. Few shades hit my sweet spot, others look like a taxi or Service Master car on the way to a hazardous waste cleanup.

Yes the mythical yellow. Either way, no way I would get a yellow car. So interest was lost as soon as that became part of the myth.

Besides, I got just about all the TRD Japan parts I would want anyway. And if the supposed yellow has TRD USA parts...no thanks. Lol

Technically by Scion's pure pricing definition, it is not MSRP that is the "pure price". It is whatever the dealership has posted as price, finance, dealership website is what you pay. Always read the fine print :)

"MSRP is the Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price that appears on Scion.com. The price that is shown on your dealer's website, which may or may not be the same as MSRP, is the price you'll pay for your new Scion. Pure Process is a completely transparent pricing system to help save you the time you would otherwise spend negotiating for a "deal."

If they have a higher price posted, just check out neighbouring dealerships and ignore this one.
