ADC Mobile Backup Camera

Just checking if anyone has experience with the ADC Mobile backup camera kit for the Scion Display Audio. I talked to a sales rep and he said it's totally plug and play with a harness and no splicing. They sell mainly to dealers, but you can order directly from them for about $150 with shipping.

that's pretty expensive. i mean i understand how scaring cutting wires can seem, but you can save a ton from doing it yourself. cause these things are easily 30-50 bucks on ebay. plus no matter what you'll have to drill into your trunk anyway. unless you're getting that special beatsonic one that just screws into your license plate. but that one is really expensive too. just saying. you're in the bay area, so i'm sure there are a ton of people that are willing and happy to help you install one if you wanted to.

It's reasonably priced in comparison to some of the other non-ebay cameras out there from Rydeen, Beatsonic, Kenwood and Pioneer. It comes with a 3 year warranty so I'm paying for piece of mind as well in case it goes out.

cost of my b/u camera and wires = $15
install time 30 min. no drilling

personal piece of mind = saving $135+ initially for other mods, if camera ever fails, replace at cost of $13 for camera and another 5 minutes of my labor time..

now will i realistically replace the camera 10x in 3 years due to failure? I certaintly hope not, but time will tell...

this is a very very easy DIY

just my 2 cents
