Odd find at local car show

A BRZ running a triangulated strut/firewall bar alongside a strut tower bar. Woudn't this cause massive understeer? It was a track car as well, had some Tein mono-flexes and some Hoosier R6s.

Do strut tower bars do massive anything? I thought they were kind of more for show? :iono:

Depends on the car and the rest of the suspension. For instance, I could hardly notice them on my WRX with a stock suspension. With 12k/10k coilovers it was a BIG difference. The car was MUCH more streetable with the strut brace.

It wouldn't cause understeer... it's supposed to eliminate torsion.

it would most certainly not

any percieved understeer or oversteer from increases to chassis ridgidity come from the improved feel and reaction of the chassis to driver inputs.
