No personal experience, but based on what I've read of other posters experienced I would be calling @FullBlown or Crawford.

Yeah, but it seems maybe a handful of people on here have done it. Might just wait till more feedback is readily available.

I only know of a few guys that are running them. I believe that @Dipstik-sportech has a Full Blown engine and @Frs300 will have an FA20Club engine one of these Fridays.

I've got pistons and rods. Compression is about 9:1. What sort of questions do you have?

I will try to hold on building until valves/springs are readily available so everything can be done at once. Pistons/rods/springs/retainers/valves etc.

Agreed with David and to be honest the trigger will be pulled for me if a set of cams came out tomorrow lol:) besides that me and you are on the same page

Yep, wait til top end components are available. No reason to do it now if you can't reliably get everything needed - if I cracked the engine open there's no way I'd be keeping stock cams either.

The downside of the boxer engine is you can't just pull the heads to do head upgrades without pulling the motor out, so I agree that on this engine it would be best to do everything all at once while the motor is out.

Id reccomend using fa20club for your engine build :)

you answered one of them what parts you went with. What was the original goal for the build and was it met? How much dyno time was spent/street tune once the new built engine went in? Why the 9:1 ratio gas in your town is crap? Overall are you happy with the setup any quirks/problems along the way? How long did it take to be built?

The goal was so we wouldn't blow anything up lol. I told the guys I wanted maximum reliability. So far it's worked very well, the engine has taken a solid beating between me dailying the car and doing a few stunts here and there. Honestly from what I was told the tuning wasn't that bad at all with the new parts in the motor. Though I don't know the exact number. Looking back I would've went with 10:1 compression. 9:1 isn't horrible but the lag is there. I enjoy the car, it's an excellent daily with great drivability, mostly thanks to Chris's tuning at D3.
