Body Shop Guru's needed..
So as i went into a gas station a small truck hit me just slightly and made a dent in my rear bumper. No cameras or anything caught it but now i have a small dent and I'm just wondering what do you think I'd be looking at as far as price from a decent bodyshop?? Quarter size dent + a couple scratches??

With out pics it's hard to say. But if paint is needed expect 1500$ because they will also have to blend it to make it look right.

If it's just a dent/minor scratches you might be able to get away with paintless dent repair/touch up paint.
PDR is much cheaper/easier than dealing with a bodyshop, and it can work for a variety of dents, as long as they are not on/in a body panel crease... |
I see I'll try to post some pics when its daylight, but if it cost enough I'll just go head and make an uninsured motorist claim just didn't want to deal with insurance if it was minor enough.

Dent in the bumper? Heat it up with a hair dryer and try to push it out from the back side yourself. A shop shouldn't charge more than 0.5 to fix the dent, 2 hours to paint and 1.0 to r&i the bumper (top of the head.) >$400
If the dent is towards the back they will be able to spot repair the area and keep the color blend within the bumper, they would then reclear the whole bumper. That way you wouldn't have to worry about blending the paint into the decklid, quarter panel, ect. |
