Window Freezing TSB...

1 Attachment(s)
As I figured this would arrive soon. This TSB is self explanatory for the window freezing issue.

About time...now when will Subaru get around to this.

Thanks OP.

Welp, my first maintenance visit will be a lengthy one. I think that's two TSBs since I got the car.

This is a good news to us... :-)

Hey, 5AD86D, thanks for the information.... :)

However, after reading through the TSB, I'm ah feared that is a way to delicate of an operation for Bubba, ...... down at the John Deere & Scion dealership ..... :(

I have to agree. Also from the looks of it I'd say only the ppl in major cold whose windows wouldn't go back up at all are the ones will will actually get parts replaced. But if you wanna take it in just in case thats a good idea imo. I've had the same problem but its nothing the up/down master switch button didn't fix.

So is this the same thing as having to reset the windows after they are frozen or is this something else?

Thanks OP. Anyone know if this installs a better set of weather stripping, window lifters, etc.? I see replacing parts, but they don't say what the benefit is.

New seals and lifters with a new switch with improved logic? Less moisture in the regulator to freeze the window is my assumption.

The reason I was wondering is because I thought the freezing issue had to do with where the window met the upper gasket and was freezing to that.
