Question about LED head and tail lights
 

Are there actually any DOT approved LED head or tail lights?
I really love LEDs but I don't want to get into any troubles because of them :(

You can buy LED bulbs, relays for tail lights etc at Diode Dynamics and various dealers. Headlights best best is HID as there are no good projecting LED lights for low beam and high beam.

For your low-beams I still recommend HIDs for the most usable light output.

Unless you are running a Red/Blue LED up front, or blue in the back, you won't have any issues with LEDs.

there are no DOT approved led headlights available for this car, because the housings were approved to only use a halogen or hid light source--depending on the housing. legally, changing the bulb type from anything that it was not approved with is illegal.

stick with 4300k-5000k and ur gonna be fine

That's right, 4300k and 5000k are very practical color choices that maximizes visibility :thumbsup:
