Big Datazap update! Multi-log upload and more!

Hey guys! I have a pretty big Datazap update for everyone. I thought it might be easier to demonstrate the new features with a video (yes I know my presentation skills leave something to be desired... bear with me):

Just to be sure you see the changes, clear your cache/reload the site.

[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=horlTjSFACI"]new Datazap features - YouTube[/ame]

The new/updated features are as follows:

MULTI LOG UPLOAD!
This has been the most requested feature. Starting now you can upload multiple logs at once (max 3 for now). You can then switch between those logs on the graph page.

AUTO ZOOM!
Previously only selected data series would load automatically when sharing the URL. Now your zoom/position will load automatically for people.

MARKERS!
Click on the graph to place markers so you can point out specific parts of the log to someone. Along with zoom/position, these markers will load automatically when you share the URL with someone.

Besides those changes, data log notes are now visible from your profile page.. and you'll see some other layout changes here and there.

I have some other cool features coming soon! so keep an eye out for more updates in the next few weeks.

Looks nice! Is the site still undergoing maintenance?

EDIT: Recleared my cache and it looks great! Thanks for the update!

small update!

1. I added back in the "add view" button under the chart. Click it to add more chart panels. This is especially useful if you have multiple charts uploaded to one page and you want to view them all at once.

2. There is now international support. If your logs use comma's as the decimal place, the system will auto detect it and your logs should now load properly.

Is there any chance of bumping up the size limit to say 1.5 mb? I now have two logs that don't fit and I manually trimmed one in text edit to make it fit.

awsome!

I uploaded a map a little while ago and didn't realize it was about 1.3mb till it was up. Thanks so much :thumbsup:

Any chance that the right scale will get adjusted based on the max/min value of a logged parameter. Say throttle is 0-100 that will have a scale from -5 to 105 so that there is 5% on each side. Then the KC will read from 0 to 7 and the -.35 to 7.35

Example:

Code:

scaleMax = maxVal * 1.05;
scaleMin = minVal - (maxVal * .05);

The min/max currently changes automatically based on what you have selected. Do you just want 5% buffer added to this shared min/max? Or are you asking for individual items to get their own axis (and thus their own scale) so they have their own set of numbers on the right?

Luckrider 01-20-2014 11:53 PM

Preferably we would be able to choose between individual scales and global scales. Or, we would be able to select multiple parameters that follow the global scale while allowing individual parameters to override the scale and have its own. The problem with the way it is not is that 1000s logs make it impossible to see the time and basically any other parameter.

Allowing one to set items to be on their own axis is something I was working on anyways. It's one of the next things I'll be adding.
