US Spec in Germany?

Hello, everyone.

I'm stationed in Germany with the US Air Force, and won't get a chance to go shopping for an FR-S in the states for awhile. Does anyone know where I would be able to find a US Spec FR-S to bring back with me when I change stations? I'm currently at Ramstein AB near Kaiserslautern.

Thanks

I don't think there's many Scion in Germany. Why don't you get a GT86 or a BRZ instead?

It would have to be a BRZ or US Spec 86, then (if that's even possible). Are the prices identical to US prices?

If you buy a gt86

If you buy a gt86 I will send you all the suff needed to make your car "look like a scion. All I ask is for your GR86 parts. Here's hoping :)

I think the euro spec BRZ is more or less identical to the US BRZ, there are minor details like the ugly yellow side blinkers in the US and the DRL's may be set up differently.

The GT86 is a higher spec than the FR-S. You can work out some of the differences here: http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=8954

Why don't you
1. Check the prices in Germany and compare with US prices
2. Check if Euro spec cars can be imported to the US without modification
3. Check the shipping prices and import taxes

I could do all of that for you, but frankly, I can't be bothered.

Just trying to help.

If you ask me about a ditch, and you ask politely; I'll help you decide where to dig it, how to dig it and even when to dig it, but I won't dig your ditch for you.

Oh, and @Tevisrocks, if you get a GT86 and take it to the US, be prepared for huge amounts of envy from the likes of Artie here.
Some of the FR-S owners on this forum seems to wish it was a GT86. Instead of just enjoying their cars, they spend time and money sticking Toyota and GT86 badges on their Scion FR-S.

If you on top of that keep it completely stock, no glow-in-the-dark wheels at ridiculous angles and no lipgloss-finished low-quality fancy-branded engine parts, you will invoke rage and riots among the crowds.
