Blower motor (fuse/relay/resistor) problem?

Hi guys,

I'm going to the dealer on Monday to get my blower motor and its other component checked but this Monday on my way home the heater stopped working.

It didn't stop working while it was in operation, however, the fan just wouldn't turn on UNLESS I put the fan speed to 4 (I have brz premium).

I looked up on the internet and I feel like it's the blower motor resistor that's causing the issue.

Tried the search function but nothing related to blower motor seemed to come up so here it is.

I will update it on Monday again when I drop my car at the dealership.

I hope they have parts so I don't have to go back in again!!

!!

It could be the blower motor relay, which is located behind the glove box.

R/B No. 2 in the below diagram.

Hope you get er fixed up!

Sounds like a resistor to me. If it's a relay it shouldn't turn on at all.

I am having the same issue. The blower only works on four.itsounds like a blower motor resistor. I only have 21k miles :( the dealer is looking at it tomorrow. I'll post the result.

The dealer is currently fixing it, the strange thing is... They had a blower motor resistor at the warehouse, meaning this is more common than previously thought.

So at 21k miles my blower motor resistor went bad.
