Cancel Toyota Extended warranty
So I have a extended powertrain warranty *through toyota I believe* for 7 years. Seeing as im boosted its pretty pointless, would it be possible to cancel after 1 1/2 years?

Best to ask Toyota themselves or your warranty agent at dealer I suspect? Also some of that warranty may cover "other" areas not affected by fact of being FI, something to consider before doing so if able.

Yes, you'll get a refund for the remaining unused months.

Toyota would be the first point of contact, since they're the ones selling/offering the warranty.

I believe you can...7 years is a joke. It's not 7 additional years. It's 7 years from the first in service date. If you bought the car in 2012, you are covered until 2019, not 2022. It's only an additional 4 years ON TOP of your regular bumper to bumper warranty.

It seems like if anything at all goes wrong with the motor they'll be able to attribute to it being boosted/tuned and blame it on extra stress added to the parts. Your best bet is to call up a representative from Toyota and see if the warranty will still cover anything at all. If it doesn't cover anything expensive ask for the refund on the remainder of the plan.
