Four weeks ago I owned a 2008 jeep wrangled Sahara unlimited. It had 6 inches of lift, custom suspension, a k and n cai and a super chip. 35 inch pro comp radicals and Detroit rear lockers....

I loved that jeep. I spent hours every week under the hood, adding tweaking and fixing everything on it. I have taken it on many trails in moab utah and all over new mexico... I loved it is my point.

My wife's jeep commander died recently of a cracked head. We needed a new family vehicle. She wanted a Camry.

She had it in her head we needed to sell the wrangler. Over my dead body I told her.

As we walked into the dealership there were 3 frs's right near the entrance.

We were close to making the deal had walked out to test drive the camry a second time. My wife said to me that the frs out front was nice looking and no should just drive it... until then I was still passed that we were even thinking of selling my wrangler...

We drove it...... I had never heard of an frs before that test drive. Ivendrvien a g35, a 280z, a viper, a mustang and a 3070z. I felt something really special about this car I had never heard of....

2 hours later I had committednwhat I thought was adultery or abandonment when I drove that car off the lot, leaving behind my most valued possession. I mean I really really loved that jeep.

Since then I have driven 1200 miles in my '14 ultramarine frs. I didn't realize what I had. I think I do now..

Just.....wow.....

Her name is Candy Rocket......

Soon you will learn how annoying it is to be headlight level with Jeeps and the like!

They're fun for off-roading, don't get me wrong. But blinding to sports car drivers!

I had two sets of lights. I turned off the top lights when pulling behind a sports car. I felt like a duck if I forgot...

Congrats! Needed a family vehicle? hopefully you don't trade Candy Rocket in when the time comes for a family vehicle again. :sigh:

Not sure if I understand the story correctly...were you going to just get a Camry and got the FR-S instead or you got a Camry and also an FR-S (selling the Jeep for the FR-S)? Anyways, congratulations - the car is indeed something special...and it gets better the more you drive it!

Got a camry and the frs....

Looks cool, but please don't name it. ;)

I hear where you're coming from having sold my jeep and picked up an FR-S back in October. This is an old pic, by the time I sold it have bumpers and sliders too. It was locked in the rear. I miss wheeling, but will have a dedicated trail rig in the near future ;)

Congrats and welcome!

Seeing those Jeeps... makes me think of how I would never be afraid of low driveways ever again. Nor would I need to go at a 45 deg. angle over speedbumps and other dangerous objects...
