Is there anyway we can grease them ? It's super annoying

Before spending time on trying to grease anything, get someone to turn the wheel and have somebody listening in the engine bay, it will be significantly louder if it is indeed there.

Has anybody solved this issue?

Im having something similar but instead of squealing it sounds more like a creek. I doesn't sound like it's the steering wheel itself....

Ah, crap! The crickets are spreading...like cancer.

I lost my power assist the other night... while driving about <10 mph in a parking lot. I heard a beep and my power steering was gone. This happened a couple of times a few months ago, during very cold weather, and it went away quickly. This time, it lasted for over a minute and I could barely pull into an empty parking space. I was about to make an an appointment with my Scion dealer, but I decided to wait and see if it happened again. So far it hasn't. Just a random glitch?

mine was "sqeaking" as well, althought it was obvious it was a rubbing plastic noise. i have a after market steering hub and the accordion like shroud was just long enough to rub on a little sensor thing on bottom of the steering column. i just cut 1 ring off it and its good to go. it didnt initially do that so im assuming over time something has warped after all the abuse the steering wheel takes, could be an issue with the stock steering wheel as well. its not hard to take off the weel, and at the 6 o'clock position theres a glossy plastic piece that i assume is part of the steering angle sensor that will have rub marks on it if if that is your issue.

Fixed this. I just had to follow the steering column under the dash to the point where it enters the floor of the car. There is a rubber boot here, I just played around with this and the sound went away.
