Question to those with vinyl wrapped roof...
Hey guys I have been searching around and seen a few people with vinyl on their roof. I am wanting to do this but am a little concerned with how to approach laying the film down. Are you guys who did it yourself starting in the middle and squeegeing (real word?) outwards? From my experience, which is a full wrap on a couple motorcycles and a roof wrap on an evo x, I see the ridges in the roof causing an issue. If I could get any added tips I would greatly appreciate it.

The ridges are a PITA and the reason I went through two sheets before giving up lol

Yup ridges were a PITA, you could pull it off with one person but 2 would be preferable. I tried it with a buddy of mine was unsuccessful, so a friend referred me to his bud who hooked me up. He did the rear half first, but said the ridges ridges were a pain, but he was able to do it perfectly.

Same here. Gave up after 2 sheets. Thinking about go to a pro. Lol

Alright so at least I am not alone I guess haha. I have done a few motorcycle tanks and somehow pulled it off even with my lack of patience but those pieces are much smaller when you mess up. I guess I will have to give in and find a place who does good work around here then. Thanks!

The roof is super easy compared to things like bumpers. Ask a pro to do it. I did it for a living a bit before but if you ask me, the type of material makes a big difference. The 3M 1080 is so good to handle it's hard to mess it up. Look up videos on youtube.

There are plenty of you tube videos showing how to install. On anothe note, I have these overlays available in super glossy, satin/matte, and carbon fiber finishes, if anyone's interested. Just email me. Pics in my gallery below ;).
