Will EVO 9 brakes fit?
Just wondering if Mitsubishi EVO 9 brakes will fit on my BRZ (with new rotors of course)?

Here's some useful information for you. I've seen STi brakes retrofitted onto the BRZ/FR-S before and seeing that the evo brakes are within 10mm or less in size I would say they should fit with the proper modifications done.
STI Front calipers 277x143x127MM size calipers 3.6K weight 40/60 MM pistons caliper mounting bolt spread 180MM rotor size 326MM EVO Front calipers 286x145x124MM size calipers 3.6K weight 40/60 MM pistons caliper mounting bolt spread 185MM rotor size 320MM. |
Why bother with custom brackets and drilling and shit when there's a completely take-off solution available?
Boggles my fucking mind, I tell you. |

Because I found a complete set of EVO 9 calipers for $500 that's why. |

I asked because I read here that the EVO brakes were the same as the WRX STI brakes. Something like they were the same but the bleeder valves needed to be swapped and the same adaptor plates as the STI needed, but otherwise the same.

Do-able but definitely requires some work which may not be suited to the average DIY'er (like myself :)). But if you have the confidence and know how, then go for it. |
Thanks for the link.
Yeah, that's too much hassle. I'll wait to find some more suitable brakes. |
