Well, I traded my older car and a little coin, so I didn't pay a lot of liquid cash. However, if I had sold my older car and paid cash, considering the value of the previous car, it would be somewhere between 25,xxx and 30,xxx.

Good move, I love that you can legally own a car like that in your country.
It's going to be a real blast, lots of torque, light body. It looks brilliant and not rice at all. A bit pricey but i's a real keeper. |
It also depends on the milage of the donor car, the state of the interior, othe aftermarket components...

Not having to go through the trouble of selling my car was worth a considerable amount to me alone. That and the market for selling STIs isn't what it used to be, so I'd be lucky if I even got KBB value for it. It's a 93 chassis with 130,xxx miles, which is pretty low for a 20 year old car. I'll capture a video today, but here's a list of mods, for those that are interested. The color is Subaru's Aspen White.

Wheels and tires have less than 2000 miles on them. 9.5" +40 offset 255/40/18 on all 4 corners so you can rotate. Full Samberg Kit with DSS aluminum dshaft LS6 Stroked to forged 383 4030 Scat crank and rods ARP rod and head bolts weisco -6 dish pistons 243 heads comp valve train and push rods custom grind comp cam ASP under drive pulley Ported LS6 intake and TB 42lb injectors Tick stage 2 t56 Spec Stage 3 Clutch Wilwood 7/8's adjustable master Spoolin Long tubes Custom Stainless 3" to 3.5" with vbands to Greedy exhaust Shine Parts / Feed sides, rear diffuser, and rear spoiler 99 Spec OEM Mazda Front bumper with plate shaved 99 Spec REAL Stanley lights 99 Spec Tails Tein Flex coil overs. Optima Yellow Top Steada Tri Ax with GT 500 knob Tein hood struts Stainless coil covers MSD coils once they are off National Back order. Been waiting since DEC for them! New condenser Pez AC lines and Drier New 20% tint and 35% on the full front windshield. Dakota Digital box installed and all gauges work Melling High Flow oil pump and chain New OEM oil pickup and screen Full mobile 1 syn fulid in Diff, Trans, and Motor Full PEZ harness with AC pre wired Urethane diff mounts Energy Susp Trans mount Alignment Rear wiper and Antenna shaved Red efini emblems and matching key R1 Din pocket Every single sensor, pulley, belt, hose, gasket, starter, alt, PS pump, etc was replaced during the rebuild and I have all the receipts. The car may not be worth this to everyone, but this is the closest I will probably get to having a "new" FD, so my opinion of its value is held in pretty high regard. :] I'll get more pics and videos soon! |
Very nice, congrats! FD's still look great, and the LS6 is always a lusty engine. I'm sure you'll enjoy the hell out of the car.
