See you soon. You should also look up the events sponsored by northwest autosports association.

dvsidboy 01-05-2014 12:34 AM

I added their events to the list.

Rio 01-05-2014 01:42 AM

So who wants to refer me for my SCCA membershsip?

PCA guys are hella chill! Which brake pads are you running this year? Or did you upgrade to BBK already?

chiprez 01-07-2014 03:15 PM

Cone chasin'

PCA is a coo group of people. I attended events in my old Civic a few hars ack and plnned to return last year with my lightly modded Miata but work got in the way. Hoping to make it out this year in my FRS.

Thatruth2001 01-07-2014 05:10 PM

PCA will be very competative this year based on the decision to separate the NP-S into multiple classes based on drive train. The rwd group will be wide open, but will be merged with people who run racing tires which will be interested.

Anyone interested in creating a specfic autoX scheduled based on the 3 clubs above and run a local FR-S Series for money to make things interesting? I like the sound of $100 per person.

A mini frs/brz series would be cool. Haven't done any hard driving in a RWD in a long time and the only stuff I've done is drifting from back in my late teenage years.

Thatruth2001 01-07-2014 08:19 PM

What is the EM class reference for SCCA?

dvsidboy 01-07-2014 09:16 PM

E-Mod is the class I will be running, but have to over look rules... Might be in EP or XP (XP is a heavy hitter no rules type class...fml)

I am open for a group, but I will not be on street tires for any event, so that kinda makes it unfair. Wait, I mean.... Yes I will be in a group, lol

Most cars with basic mods will fall into STX, those with further mods (like a C/F Driveshaft or boost) will go into SM (Street Mod)

Thatruth2001 01-08-2014 12:49 AM

What do you have up your sleeve this autoX season? Did you go and buy yourself some feather weight 15" rims and Hoosiers? You know I cannot let that happen. . . .

Also, since the annual meet up got canceled last year due to weather, I recommend we try to do a fun group event at Packwood with NWAA in June. The last time I went out there on a saturday I did 30+ runs during the session.

dvsidboy 01-08-2014 02:43 AM

I haven't even made it to wheels with the diet yet. ;)

Thatruth2001 03-03-2014 10:33 PM

Bump

Thatruth2001 03-03-2014 10:35 PM

Anyone interested in the March events with PCA and NWAA?

Very interesting multi day and event schedule. This sounds like it will be a lot of fun. I anticipate this will be a regional event for the NW.

Check out the schedule. It's National and Oregon is the NW host city :-)

Thatruth2001 03-04-2014 10:19 PM

Read the multiple events and rules already. The event is scaled to encourage both novice and expert driver participation.

thehapaone 03-04-2014 11:00 PM

if I can get my brakes done I'll try and make the end of march PCA event

dvsidboy 03-04-2014 11:23 PM

That could be a blast. I will need to get a set of street tires, my current setup wont meet the rules, lol

Come out regardless, the stock brakes will work just fine. When you go to a SCCA event and you watch Becky Z in her stock brz you will realize 90% AutoX is all driver....

I am sure that by the time August comes by I will also need new tires and brake pads, since I am planning on attending over 5 autox and 3 DE events before then. :-)

Thatruth2001 03-09-2014 03:43 AM

Anyone up for the NWAA event next weekend? If you want to get many runs, i.e. 20+, this is a good group to participate. The experience is ideal for those who are experienced and novice levels.

cowdog360 03-10-2014 02:37 AM

I'll be at the April Autocross Novice school. Should be fun!

dvsidboy 03-30-2014 06:20 PM

Had a good weekend in the BRZ, fun to get back out and chasing cones. Need to relearn some of this setup and get it dialed in.

Here is some video from 3/29's PCA Event:
[ame="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iLT0_9LaEfc"]NWMotiv Project BRZ - 3/29 PCA Autocross Event - YouTube[/ame]

I will get video from today (3/30) up here in a bit.

Car has good power through the course, tires need heat bad, and I need to dial in suspension settings.

dvsidboy 04-01-2014 10:46 PM

Results are in:

Event 1:
3rd Place NPR
5th Overall RAW

Event 2:
4th Place NPR
12th Overall RAW

Full videos from the events.

Can't wait for the next event, going to have a big change prior!!!! :)

m.box.design 04-01-2014 11:54 PM

nice runs given the wet conditions. cheers to better weather next time!

Ms. FR-S 04-08-2014 03:23 AM

Hey, relative autox noob here driving up to Packwood for the SCCA National Tour on July 5 and 6! I'll be running ladies' CS. I was wondering if anyone who has run there had any recommendations for tires or other prep for the surfaces at Packwood? Will it be wet? (I'm most used to running under hot, dry conditions.) I'm currently running Dunlop Direzza ZIIs, 225/45R17, and will need a new set of tires before then. I'd like to take the conditions there into consideration when I buy. Any other pointers would be appreciated as well! :)

Packwood

Any advice on Packwood, would be greatly appreciated. SCCA SOLO Events 3 and 4 are up there next month. :-)

This was my fastest run today. Placed second on the Tuner Challenge group.

dvsidboy 04-14-2014 12:16 PM

Solid run!

Bummed I missed this event, but I didn't have the car running until about 1pm. :(

As for Packwood, be ready for grip and speed. Its a huge open area. Bring water for the tires and water for you.

Let me know the next couple of these you go to and I'll see if I can fit it into my schedule.

vroom4 04-14-2014 04:41 PM

My girlfriend and I will see you at packwood tour in our #14 C-street silver brz! Its always a blast...just dont get tricked into partying too late like we do every event

vroom4 04-14-2014 04:42 PM

We will be there for the NWR events on weekend of may 5th as well.

dvsidboy 04-14-2014 04:51 PM

Right now the wife and I are planning on renting an RV and heading up the whole week for the Tour and ProSolo.

Going to get rocked in EM, but its still a fun experience!!!

vroom4 04-14-2014 05:26 PM

And packwood is just an awesome place to spend a week.

dvsidboy 04-28-2014 12:21 PM

Video from yesterday's event.

Took 2nd place in NP-R.

I signed up and started a separate thread for the Astoria airport autox. I'll be there May 17th and in spirit the 18th. Don't forget the track days thread at PIR I've started. If anyone has the dates ORP is having HPDE please post up a thread or let me know and I'll post one as it's hard to find them.
