Dakar 2014 Starts January 5, 2014
 

The temporary motorsports drought is over as the 2014 Dakar epic starts tomorrow. Live streaming coverage on their site, delayed coverage daily on NBCSN. Set up the DVR for TV series coverage beginning Monday.

Snakebit Robby Gordon once again encounters problems on Stage 1. His Hummer broke at the staging area and took some time to fix. The good news is that it didn't cost him time since he hadn't started. Still, he was slower than expected:

A long way to go, though. But given the level of competition, it's going to be a rough road for Robby.
