Help on a proper setup
 

First off I'm not very technical with cars so I need a little info on how to run the proper setup. Some background info is: have Stance coilovers waiting to be installed and I just recently picked up some 18x9.5 wheels. According to various threads on this site, I can't run any tire wider than 235 up front or it will cause some sort of rubbing. A friend recommended that I go 245 front and back but with camber up front to clear the fender. The tire calculator say that running 235/35 would work except that size is very rare. I can go 225 but would that be stretching it too much? I actually like the idea of doing 245 front and back, if in that case, how would I adjust the camber properly?

The best way is to install camber bolts set to max negative camber and then get camber plates to fine tune.

Now be careful because the clearance issue may not be on the outside, but could be clearance to the strut. Spend time in the tire/wheel forum. Thats where your answer lies.

Oh, and the offset matters too.

What's your offset? Mid-low 30s or less with that setup up front could be a challenge. Camber and minor stretch are your best friend over 9" wide on the fronts

They are the SA15R. Offset is at +48. I don't plan on lowering the car past 1.5". I've been doing some research but I can't really find anybody with a similar setup. To be honest, I'm trying to stay away from camber adjustments if possible to avoid headaches. Will 225/40 in front and 245/35 in the back pose any clearance issues? Any problems with strut clearance with Stance coils?

I have 18x9.5 +40 and am running 245/40R18 with no fitment/rubbing issues on Stance coilovers

That's looks pretty close with a +40. To be safe I just ordered 225/40 up front. Thanks for your input guys. BTW your whip looks great Warfield. Will post pictures when it's all installed!
