2,646 pound curb weight?! Please let this be its true weight! :D

MrFRsLa 04-28-2012 09:23 PM

Thats close to true. Only for the manual. I am not going to ask where he got this.

samsam5886 04-28-2012 09:27 PM

Scion's website says 2,785 pounds though :(

MrFRsLa 04-28-2012 09:36 PM

Closer the auto is about a 80 pound difference. Who cares I am ripping out my back seat anyways!!!

That picture of the air intake system is interesting. I figured they would be drawing air from the grill, not the right side headlight. O_o

I think there's some small gains to be had from cleaning up those bends. The one up stream of the filter housing, there's no way air is going to make that bend, with the drastically different radii, and not become turbulent. The very tight bend just after the filter, and the convoluted tubing can't be helping much either.

I just hope straightening out the air path and loosing the resonance chambers doesn't mess up the MAF sensor reading.

Im assuming the weight difference is really one with a driver in it and one without. Go figure.

Well considering that weight is about 100 pounds less than Scion's officially released weights and those measured by magazines, I dare say it is a bit off...

Then again, Scion has released about 5 different weights recently, so apparently they don't even know how much their car weighs. According to the mags it is, not surprisingly, only a few pounds lighter than the BRZ.

It's the pre-launch sales sheet our corp rep sent out. I don't know if it's a national sheet or regional, but people at LA/OC dealerships should have received this. I already ordered an owner's manual in but I'm waiting for the dang brochures =\ ~ we were able to download the PDF of the manuals before in our technical training system, but now we can only print excerpts =\
