Thought I'd chime in with my experience. Received it from FT86SF, great price and fast shipping.

Don't know why it came with zip ties, they're not used at all.

Inside the pipe doesn't look the greatest, but there were was no flaking or loose metals in there so it was OK in my books. Just to be safe I cleaned and wiped it all down before I installed it.

As soon as I fitted the pipe on, I noticed an issue. The silicone coupler at the airbox is way too long, and causes the intake pipe to stick out more than it should. This angled it such that it wouldn't sit flush with the coupler at the throttle body either. Here's an image of what I'm describing, the circled parts are the problem areas (not my car).

Here you can see how a shorter coupler is required due to the bend of the pipe.

I measured the actual length, and it came out to be 45mm from the bend to the airbox.

I trimmed the hose down, and here's the result:

It's no longer tugging at the airbox or near the throttle body. Everything fits perfectly. I recommend anyone with this intake to trim one of the silicone couplers to 45mm for a better fitment, in fact it should probably come in that length from the factory.

Driving impressions: well, I hear a bit more of an induction noise on the throttle and its much quieter in the cabin due to sound generator delete. Not much else to say. It was a great buy for the price point and should satisfy me until I move on to forced induction.

Should've just ask me for mine, half price and it'd been yours.

True, I just thought for someone to read this thread and wanting to buy then write a review about it, they would've noticed that I probably can't sell it with a recommendation but if they still want to buy, sure. Which made you a likely candidate, the only one so far.

Driving impressions: Sounds great at WOT. Still has the same response as the Perrin intake tube gave me. The only small difference if any was maybe a better take off response. It feels slightly better than a rubber tube and construction is a A+

So the car has a better 'take off response', as if the air were arriving in the engine quicker? The pedal feel is better?
