Toyota Emblems

Just curious, has anyone seen replacement Toyota badges with the Scion badge finish? I'm aware of the ones like this (classic chrome):

I'm just curious if anyone has seen or heard of the Toyota badges with the Scion badge finish?

Thanks in advance!

Don't believe so, unless they are custom made/painted. I know that Toyota never made their emblem in the "flat" finish, only chrome.

this is one thing i have trouble understanding; why do so many people make sure the scion badge is the first thing to be replaced?
am i the only one that actually likes the scion badge?
its design is sharp and really nice

does the logo make people think their car is worth less?

the only thing about logos that makes sense to me is removing them completely if you've modded your car so heavily that it doesn't even deserve the logo at all or that you just hate having your car a moving advertisement for the company it was built from

somebody help me out here

Scion is a pathetic attempt by Toyota to seem "cool" and sell cars to 20 somethings. The twin is not a Scion and people feel it shouldnt be badged as such.

Simple

so it IS an ego thing.. figured as much

What does any of that have to do with ego? The car is a Toyota and Scion as a brand is a joke... why would you want your car to be mislabeled.

Selling the twin as a Scion is disrespectful to the lineage of great cars that Toyota has made in the past. It also makes no sense when you consider the heritage and inspiration of the twin is the TOYOTA AE86.

People are insecure about driving a Scion.

By that logic I suppose you would put Toyota badges on a Lexus?

Its not about insecurities either. I have driven my Fr-s for a year without an ounce of shame, yet I still plan to change the badges in the spring. Not because im ashamed or insecure but because it feels like the right thing to do. Its more of a statement then anything else.

At least the engine is badged as Lexus, the twins are Subaru and Toyota.

To be completely honest, I really just detest the Scion brand. And this is coming from someone who works for a certain advertising agency that produced a certain car's launch campaign. Perhaps it is just me, but I see too many diced out tCs that my view is pretty skewed. Part of me wants to just leave it as it is, but part of me would love to get rid of all the Scion logos.

Well, executor, I can't help you out ..... because I don't understand either.

Setting aside "Toyota-Scion" as a brand for a moment, I think the Scion badge is more attractive than the Toyota badge.

As far as what it "stands for" or "what it represents" ...... I don't give a rip. I left that back in the Chevrolet vs. Ford days .... http://www.runemasterstudios.com/gra...images/yes.gif

If it's just about disliking scion as a brand why didn't you just get the Subaru?

Anyone in the know about the FR-S is just going to think you're a poseur and anyone that isn't isn't going to notice or care.

Count me in as one of the ones that just doesn't get it.
