Interesting AutoFactory parts

This is a JDM vendor. It seems they have introduced a few new parts which are kind of interesting.

Replacement director injector seals, different material apparently:

Oil pan baffle, apparently will help with oil starvation on track.

Electric water pump and swirl pot. They used this to eliminate the factory belt driven water pump and claim it gained 5WHP. I don't see the swirl pot in the picture or some other parts...

That oil baffle plate is meh. Revo have a couple of designs as well.

The oil pans I see getting developed are also meh. They have no R&D. They're just working to the "is has more capacity and should be better" mentality.

Toyota Racing New Zealand recognised this problem as they were developing their TR86 race car. They made 5 or 6 designs, tested them all until they came up with a final solution. Details are minimal as they have told us in the NZ owners club that they will be brining it to market (they want to sell all the products they've developed) but want to protect their IP first. I know one of the guys is due to receive his unit in a few weeks for 3rd party testing.

All the details I know, are that it has more capacity, it has a modified pickup, and they have tested it on various race tracks under race conditions on full slicks without issue.

If it was me, I would just go dry sump. But these wet sumps options will still have a place in the market for those that want to retain AC (that's where I'd put the DS pump)

Interested in hearing more about these items...detailed specs, materials, etc...

Any reliability issues going from mechanical to electrical on the water pump?

Yeah if only I could read Japanese. Lots of cars use electric water pumps including a bunch of the newer BMW engines. They are variable speed pumps controlled by the ECU. That is a Davies Craig pump controller, looks like it has 5 temp/speed settings.
