Took over 9 months to get my Gram Lights 57Xtremes 18x8.5 +45 F 18x9.5 +40 R with Michelin pilot sport A/S 3 225/45/18 F 255/40/18 rear. Other mods: KW V3 coilovers, Injen cold air intake, Perrin cat-back exhaust, Stance rear control arms. Here are some shots to show fitment. Note, I raised the rear about 1/2" after these shots were taken due to some rubbing on the top of the wheel well.

Mind taking a close-up pic of the front and rear's lips? I like how the tires sit right up on the lips. I have 18" 57x w/ 225/40 f and 245/35 r Michelins Pilots and I have lips. Looking for new Michelins and wanting to get rid of the stretched look. Yours I like. I just want to see if your 57x have different lips than mine. Then I can decide 245/40 f and 265 or 275/35 rears. TIA, looks great!

I used several charts/tools provided by this incredible thread when deciding on my setup for wheels/offset/ride height/tire size etc. I am including some useful information here. Just glancing at the chart, with stock height, your fitment may actually be a bit more flush than mine since I am lowered. I can't comment on what the gap would be (I would imagine just fine but don't take my word for it, I had the coilovers installed after only 800 miles on the car). In regards to getting my hands on 18's in SP SPEC...it wasn't easy. Shopped around quite a bit and knew that it wasn't going to be easy/quick. Ended up speaking with the guys at Vividracing.com and they said that the way it works is Rays in Japan will not machine these until there is multiple orders. I have no idea if it takes 10 or 20 or what, all I know is it was very painful having to wait nine months for these babies. Worth the wait, but I was expecting more like 4-5 months at most. Rays takes their time but they are incredibly well made.

I'll get some shots of the lips later on and post. The 225's are a tad "stretched" up front but I'll get a shot of front and back for you to have a look.

Can't get a straight answer Elsewhere so I'm asking here! I have the same wheel set up (18x8.5+45 F 18x9.5+40 R) and need to know if I need spacers, and if so on F, R, or both? How about hubcentric rings? my tire intentions are 235/40/18 and 265/35/18

Anyone give me a confirmed answer?

Can't confirm with out more info. Do you have coilovers? LCA? Camber adjustment?


Hub rings are always a good idea. (unless the wheel is specifically for the 86 platform and already has a hub bore of 56.1)

You do not need spacers in the rear. Some guys are running 18x8.5 +33 front, so, if that is the look you are going for, then yes you will need some in the front.

I am putting these on Stock Suspension (4x4 I know :iono:)

I was under impression I would not have any camber issues untill I mess with suspension? It is my intention to add coilovers and LCA next spring, did not want to write the whole check at once.

IMO, 265 is too big without, at least LCA. I would think about 225/40 & 255/35. In post 90 he has the same size wheels and offset as you. He talks about the closeness in the front and needing coilovers to add room for camber. You could also run a spacer, but that would add poke, which I am assuming is why you went with +45.

I run 245/35 square on staggered wheels.

Edit: You are getting +40 rear, which would push the wheel out 5mm compared to the rear wheel in post 90. Which will be really flush, and convinces me further 265 is too wide without the other suspension parts.
