New Design Request for Aftermarket Tail Lights
 

I'm not a big fan of the gigantic, googly-eyed, bubbly clear lens on our tails. Why does it need to protrude so far from the body and the housing? How come everyone is shaping their aftermarket tails exactly like the stock ones and only modifying the housing, LEDs, etc? I'd like to see them a little more flush with the trunk and quarter panel...something that mates with our fat, curvy rear end a little more. There's plenty of room in there right now to do this. What do you guys think?

There was already a thread about this... Someone photoshopped a picture and it looked like crap... I'm not sure but I trust that Toyota/Subaru built them this way with aerodynamics in mind.

Also, you will need DOT side markers for the rear if it does not pop out.
