Glue residue from delivery tape
Hey all, I've had my BRZ now for a couple months and noticed there was still some glue from where the white tape was taken off when it was delivered to the dealership. Is there an easy way to take this off without damaging the paint? Will it come off with a nice wax job? Any tips would be great! Thanks again.

Just washed my car for the first time since getting it a month ago. Noticed the same goo left on mine and stupidly started rubbing it off with my nail...
Now there's thin, 4 inch long scratches all over my car. Not that noticeable, but I know they're there. I'd imagine a claybar would get rid of it since it's a surface contaminates, just don't do what I did and try to buff the goo off. |
I used a light rubbing compound and it came off pretty easily. Specifically I used Meguiar's ultimate compound. A bit of 3M rubbing compound would work too.

Just use some goo gone and it comes right off. I had some too

Thanks for the replies! I'll give it a shot this weekend!

If your cars new and off the boat or rail an iron x treatment is always good to do ASAP. Takes off all iron rust and sea salts makes for a fresh surface you can properly clay bar and wax etc..

I just took delivery a few months ago.
I had it on the back where there are 2 stickers. I just used this. Comes right off. http://www.turtlewax.com/rinsefree/ |

Start with goo be gone and a very light rubbing compound. Then make sure you wax / seal afterwards.
Shouldn't be too difficult to remove Nick C. |
goo gone, rubbing compound or a polish should work. If its really stubborn you can clay and then even prep the rest of your car for a detail :)
