TRD GT-86

Saw a new video from a guy called CrazyGrip on youtube, sitting inside a TRD version GT-86:

Can anybody explain what he's talking about? I suppose this version has stiffer shifter bushings. (he always plays with the shifter in his videos though, so I guess he's kinda obsessed with it)

It looks like he's doing a comparison between the TRD short shifter and a stock shifter.
The TRD card with the black gear knob has quite a bit less shifter travel compared to the stock card with the red gear knob.

I think it's just bushings because that particular car was fitted with all TRD parts and accessories before the short shifter was available.

I'm only guessing but he could be talking about the different techniques in shifting. It seems in one he's grasping the gear shift knob when in the other one he's using his finger tips and the heel of his hand to 'guide' the gear shift. That's the long way of saying "I don't know".

There aren't any TRD shift linkage bushes, and bushes alone wouldn't limit travel that much, they also wouldn't use aftermarket bushes on a TRD Demo car.
His description also has him stating: "TRD quick shift, I recommend it!"

OK
