This may be a stupid question, but where the hell does this interior piece go?
 

For the life of me I can't figure out where in the interior this would go. The curve makes me think it would be above the shifter but I don't see how it could fit there. Does anyone know?

The mission tray is the tray right in front of the shifter.

That's what I thought but there is no way the piece I linked above would fit in that spot, is there? I'm not just being dense am I?

I really don't see where the other one could possibly go.

Looks like the piece that goes right on the centre console, in front of the shifter bezel...

Would it fit there though? The dimensions don't look right to me.

Lol, you're right. I was trying to piece the puzzle together with the shape of the bottom semi-circle...


I can only think of that area that looks even close to it.

Yeah with that curve it seems like it should go against the top of the shifter bevel but the size is just all wrong and that top part wouldn't fit anyplace. Hahaha.

Maybe @Diode Dynamics can shed some light on this.

I know my answer may not be all that helpful, but have you tried contacting Diode Dynamics, and asking them about it? Since it appears to be their product, I'd imagine someone should be able to identify it for your right away if you ask them about it and give them a link to the image.

It kind of looks like it might lay flat on the mount behind the steering wheel to me - but other than that I'm stumped.

If they don't reply in this thread by tomorrow I'll just e-mail them directly. Now I'm really curious.

Actually this looks like its right above the shifter, that little corner piece that sticks out looks like its right infront of the handbrake.

So I think i solved the mystery - they used the wrong image for the FRS part. That looks like it will fit really well in the tC's new mission tray.
Maybe they're just using that so you know what it'll look like?

It's 100% for the 2014 Tc mission tray.

Awesome picture, you guys are both clearly correct.

All of this started because I wanted to get some dome light LEDs and didn't want to pay $5 shipping for a single $4.75 item. Started looking around at some other stuff and then stumbled across this.

I guess I'll let @Diode Dynamics know about this error when I place my order.
