Will FT-86 come with self-healing paint??

Just wonder, will the FT-86 get the new technology which is self-healing paint?

LOL No... It might be one of the option or Limited Edition, but I highly doubt it's gonna come with it.

BTW, isn't those paint heavy?

IDK, I don't have any knowledge on this paint thing. From the sound of it, it sounds heavy. That's why I end my sentence with question mark.

I think it's molecule movement in the paint. It's maybe 50-100g heavier. LOL

If Toyota decides to use this self healing paint on the FT,it will increase the sticker price for sure.

it goes with out saying but i will anyways, not if the costs are gonna be low

Yes. it will increase, but the question is "how much it will go up?". Manufacture may spend as less as 30-50 to do so, but They may charge 100-200 just for this.

Not heavy but the process is expensive, for a cheap sport car i dont think this will make it on this car.

Will this be an option? We won't know for sure until the car hits the showrooms.

Should be optional, but this has to filter down the Lexus line first before even making it to Toyota.
