Quirky turn signals

My turn signals don't self-cancel after most routine turns. They seem to need a really sharp turn (ie, >=90 degrees) before they'll self-cancel.

I haven't seen this discussed so I'm wondering if my car is an outlier which needs an adjustment or if "they all do that" and people just put up with it.

Mine do the same thing. Annoying

I can't say I've ever had that problem with mine but it could be I'm so used to canceling them from riding a motorcycle that I just don't notice. I'll pay more attention next time I'm out driving.

It's kind of nice that they don't shut off when I pull over into the left turn lane and I haven't actually turned off the road yet.

Just don't leave them on while you're driving down Main Street ;) Almost Live Ballard styleee

There are even-more-awesome sports cars which have somehow managed to implement turn signal canceling behavior correctly.

But I suppose it's not as trivial as it might first appear -- the self-canceling operation needs to be based on some combination of turn radius and total degrees of turn...

This is what you want. TapTurn

Interesting gadget, but imo it needs to be a bit smarter to justify the price. For example, it looks like you have to keep re-triggering it to keep the indicators blinking at a long red light. Might as well put up with manual canceling!

LOL, I didn't read that part. That seems pretty useless than.

I thought they were that way so they would cancel when you over corrected for the drift in the turn!

Going back into my hole now.
