Places to get convex side mirrors and advice on waterproof sprays

Does anyone know where I can get my frs good convex side mirrors?
The B pillars are just too huge and I always need to stretch my neck to look at the blind spots.
I have no skills to put them on so I will need service to help me replace the original mirrors with the convex one.
I also want to know if anyone use waterproof sprays on their side mirrors or windows so you can have a better view on them when it's raining.
Do they do a good job and will they hurt the pain?
:thanks:

This might get you started: http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=53343

I think there's also a different one for sale, but I couldn't find them.

It you have a brz limited I would stay away from those mirrors. Your mirrors are heated. Also, you don't need aftermarket mirrors to get rid of the blind spots just adjust your mirrors. My driving instructor told me to put my head to the left side of the car near the window and adjust the left mirror so I can barley see the edge of the car now move your head to the middle of the car where the navigation is and adjust the right mirror so you can barley see the edge of your car. The end result gives you full view of what's around you. Im sure you can find more info on this somewhere else but I just thought this might be useful.

sent you a PM about convex.

I use aquapel windshield glass cleaner with a microfiber cloth- it is fabulous for many things. (found it to be better than RainX) no windshield streaking, long lasting rain repellant :)

I've used these for about half a year now:

The Rexspeed ones are amazing, you actually don't need to head check anymore when switch lanes (I still do just in case), they cover that much. The only con is that 'objects in mirror may be closer than they appear'. I just use my rear view mirror as a judge for distance, and my side views to check blind spots.

If you PM/email ft86speedfactory, you might get a discount.

For water repellant, I just occasionally wax my windows/mirrors with 3M Premium liquid wax and that helps the water bead up/slide right off. It's probably not as good as a real water repellant like Rain-X, but it works for me. If I'm traveling above 50 MPH, I barely need my windshield wipers to be on.

Are the heated mirrors for the Limited BRZ in the US as well? I thought it was limited to the Canadian ones? I'm also interested in the Convex mirrors as well.

Yes, my Limited in California has wires for heated mirrors. I unplugged them from the mirrors, taped over them so they didn't ground or touch each other and left them in there when I replaced my mirrors.

As far as installation, take them to a meet, someone will either walk you through installing them yourself, or will do it for you, it's like a 5 minute job if you don't include getting the fingerprints off them and readjusting to the correct angle.

Here's how to properly adjust your mirrors to get rid of blind spots. Credit to a fellow member for linking it in another thread.

Right now I am running Rexspeed convex mirrors clip ins (I absolutely love them), they do not have the heated unit for my limited so I just bought heated ones with led turn signal option :)

Does Rexspeed make a set of mirrors that have the heated and turn signal option or did you get the Speedline ones? (would like some pics and your thoughts as well :P)

i have these 2 in 1 polarized split mirrors.

Keeps actual vision depth with added convex split glass for blind spots

Does not shrink surroundings and cause speed/distance miscalculations like full convex mirrors

I can install for you too :)
