Ice Storm in TO!

Hope everyone is staying safe and warm.

Stay off the roads if you can - I am. No hero here.

So glad I parked mines in the garage. Had to scrape the ice off my suv instead and that took forever.

I've got the newly released protection coating on mine, an inch of ice! womp womp ~_~

Mine hasn't left the warm garage since Friday...freshly detailed to boot! My wife's CRV on the other hand needed a crowbar to get in it.

Is your dog okay? :(

My car never gets the garage as I'm first in and out. I'll post pics before I carefully removed the ice.

So pretty yet scary.

7thgear 12-23-2013 08:41 AM

for reasons not readily explained, i spent the entire day out on the roads yesterday (and this morning)

it was the most fun i've had all year and i don't agree with the OP, there is no hero status, just awesome status...

although knowledge of all the sidestreets and cross-routes helpes immensly with navigating the dead lights.

My house still has no power but my work does, so i'm here charging all my phones. It took me aprox 10 minutes to get to work when i average 17-18 under normal conditions, no lights are best lights!

No power here either so I got all my bug out gear in the trunk as weight to stablize my car lol! Michelin PSAS3 on ice baby!!! and I stalled it the moment I tried to roll out of my iced up street. :P

Last night it was so blair witch I had to bust out my Surefire and stick it out the side window before I turn into a side street.

Still no power here. There's a tree almost blocking in my driveway, too. Might tr and make it to work tomorrow if this persist. Hopefully there's power and heat there.
