Gas pedal dance brake thing.???

So I read on the forums about a gas pedal dance. Something like 5 slow presses, then off and on 5 presses again a and brake.

It was suppose to reset something.

As you can see, I can't remember the exact procedure, wanted to read the article again, but cannot find it. I did searches and read through a bunch I forums. Maybe spent 2 hours looking. Any help?

And no, not referring to the traction control pedal dance.

Thanks!

I've only heard of the traction pedal dance.

Yeah. This other thing had something to do with the throttle reset I think? Something to do with gas/throttle I believe.

That's the problem. Can't remember, dammit. I wish I ha subscribed to it. Now I can't find it.

LOL @ throttle dance.
Drive-by-wire, what would the point of a throttle reset be?
I don't think there is such a thing, seeing as it would have no function.

I think it has something to do with new tunes. Basically you flash a new tune, then there is an ecu learning time period. This speeds it up I think. That's why I wanted to re read the article.

Reading's for chumps, i'd much rather provide inaccurate information

The throttle pedal voltage span isn't the same on all sensors. The ECU is programed to accommodate by learning the extremes and interpolating the span. After the ECU has been reprogrammed turn the ignition to on but leave the engine off, FULLY depress and release the throttle a few times, then start the car as per normal.
