NEW! FBM Cast Aluminum Oil Pan

We are excited to announce that we will be offering an aftermarket oil pan very soon.

The days of drilling and tapping the oem pans are soon to be over. We have sold many pre-tapped pans up to date. Being that this platform is so new, the dealers have a limited supply on hand and we find ourselves occasionally waiting for stock

Also, it didn't make sense to design and produce a pan just for the oil return port. There for, we decided to engineer our oil pan with additional features to make it worth doing.

The design is done and we should have a plastic protoype within a week. From there, we will verify fitment and then head right into production.

Key Features

* 50% more oil capacity vs OEM

* Aluminum casting to ensure high quality consistency

* Heat Sink Fins on the bottom to help remove heat

* 1/2" Return Port for oil return from Turbo/SC

* Bolt in baffle to reduce starvation on hard turns and acceleration

Price $TBA

Awesome product idea. I've been wondering when someone would step up and do this, but I certainly wasn't expecting it to be cast.

The consistency of a cast piece, and the ability to incorporate nice transitions around the whole part is why we chose to cast this one.

That's a tough one for sure. I don't have an idea when we will start on that project.

MAN! It's a whole new ball game with these 3D printers. Rapid prototyping is RAPID.

I saw they even have 3D printers that can make metal parts. Just Crazy.

Looks great. I'd do anything not have to TIG weld that chrome plated Greddy turbo kit drain again (what were they thinking!?) Extra capacity will do wonders for oil temps, as will the cooling fins.

Calum 12-21-2013 11:22 PM

How much lower will it sit?

Yes, to go straight to a production mold is way too risky. Rapid prototyping is not cheap either but its the safest method.

I've never understood why weld-on fittings and pipes comes plated either.

Pretty much the same height as the OEM. We added volume around the area where the oem tapers significantly.

Im no expert but why give it more oil capacity? I dont change the oil myself i always take it somewhere. Im afraid to forget to tell the shop how much oil the car takes with this mod and then be running the car with too little oil.

FullBlown 12-22-2013 12:19 AM

More oil capacity will reduce oil temp and lessen the chance of starvation. This will not affect the dip stick reading.

It would be pretty obvious to the person doing the oil change if they see the pan or other mods on your car to check the capacity of the system.

You can always write on the cap if you are worried :)

Also, this is the lower pan. The FA20 has an upper and lower pan. The 50% extra capacity is just within the lower pan. It is not the oil system's overall capacity.

I hope that makes sense.
