http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=8191 Pretty sure they know what they are doing. Boosting a car is not taboo. I'm sure a responsible shop such as the one building this kit will not blindly turn up boost just so the user can get his fix. If he adds a boost controller and turns it up himself, well then that would be on him to accept whatever issues arise there after. I am also sure that there will be some blown blocks at some point for the sake of finding the thresh of the FA20. Advising against it means no one learns anything. |

Mandalay,
The 400hp version is a race spec Rotrex'd car (not the actual "public" kit). It has a fully built motor. The SC goes where the AC was. The street version (public kit) supposedly makes 250whp. The SC is mounted in front of the TB, backwards. The mounting bracket is a plate, with a hole of the pulley. The compressor inlet face forward and the pulley faces the front of the engine. |
Gotcha, its a bit like how i went . Thinking only SCing the stock engine then forging the engine and upping the PSI.
I wonder how long it is before someone has these engines on the bench ? |
